Our customer brand is a Netherland-based online media platform primarily set for localized distribution which has now grown to gain global attention. The platform stands for connecting people with each other and more importantly with themselves, by bringing joy and depth of knowledge. Their mission is to inspire people to heal themselves so that they can each play their part in healing and improving the world.

The Challenge

Our client is an independent motivational speaker who had bigger dreams of taking his content out to the world, mainly around the Netherlands, Belgium and other neighboring countries. To bring this dream to life through authentic and inspiring content, they wanted an original and high-performing subscription based streaming platform across Web, Android, iOS, Android TV and Apple TV. The client was also looking for a platform that could accommodate podcasts that promote content advocating ‘quality living’. An e-commerce space where the brand’s merchandise could be sold to users was also requested.

The Solution
Customizations:

A well-streamlined white-labeled VOD and live streaming platform was successfully delivered with a number of new-day customizations across Web, Android, iOS, Android TV and Apple TV. Options to create multiple profiles and a high-quality podcast system was implemented. Further, a mini player with basic playback controls to navigate without interrupting the main interface was also custom-included.

Third party Integration:

To gauge video performance and custom data extraction, third party tool GA was integrated into the platform that helped with deeper analytical insights.

Monetization:

Subscription was chosen as the mode of monetization. Also, a separate section to sell the brand's merchandise products was included as an e-commerce space.

The Results

Following the launch, over 4000 users signed up in a single day, driven by positive feedback and seamless experience in regard to user experience and content delivery. Within a year of its launch, the platform boasts a vast user base of 35K recurring subscribers. The platform is currently maximizing revenue 10X revenue with an MRR of 250K Euros. The brand aims to grow more in terms of engagement in the coming days with its robust streaming infrastructure powered by VPlayed.
